This was our second year filing our taxes with Jackson Hewitt in Hilo, Hawaii and the level of service has been very poor. Our first year was great as the manager of the store happened to be the one filing our taxes. This year, after making an hour appointment at the beginning of March, the tax preparer (who doesn't seem knowledgeable) was unable to complete filing our tax returns on the spot and we were told that it would take a few days, After not hearing back for 2 weeks, I left a message and received a call back 2 days after. The person told me that they will have their manager review and give me a call back at the end of the day. That didn't happen. I waited for another week and decided to call again. At this point, my tax returns have been outstanding for 3 weeks. I spoke to the lady on the phone and asked that my issue be escalated to the manager. The next day, I finally received a call back from the manager who then promptly setup an appointment with me the next morning. My tax returns was filed and I was hoping that everything was done properly. This morning, I logged in and tried accessing my tax returns to print for my records, only to notice that it was actually missing the tax return forms. The document was uploaded by the local office but it was incomplete. After 2 calls to the nationwide customer service center, I was told to contact the local office to see if they can even correct the issue. It's been a nightmare filing taxes this year with our local office. Needless to say, I will most likely be looking for another accountant next year and cannot rely on the poor quality service that I have received from Jackson Hewitt.

I will never use them again. They have not given us a 1040 the last 2 years we've used them. Which I find very odd considering you have to have that in order to file the next year. I suppose they do this so that we can't go anywhere else. Their paperwork will tell you that you can obtain the document electronically, I followed the instructions to do just that. I created an account online, verified my identity, and should have been able to download my document. But when I went to click download, the document will not download. It tells me that the document is "damaged" so adobe cannot download. I clicked on "download" for the documents from previous years, just to see if those would work. Nope, all of them are "damaged" and cannot be downloaded. I find that very odd. I've looked through our envelopes/tax documents for the last 2 years from them and they did not give us this form for either of them. I will never use them again. Clearly they don't want you accessing your actual tax return.

This company is either doing fraud or something else. I filed my taxes for 2019 and I am still waiting on my money a year later on the American Express serve card they gave me . I contacted the IRS and they said I am good on there send and they have no idea why I didn’t get my refund from Jackson scumbag Hewitt . I don’t know what they are up to but I went to the office on Old kings rd in Jacksonville Fl and they are always closed. So I went to a different office to pull my taxes and they keep telling me to contact the IRS. So I wrote a certified letter to the dispute IRS department and they wrote back there is no dispute and the tax preparation place should have my money. So I emailed and I am waiting for response before I report them to the news

This was the second year that I had gone to JH and the first time was wonderful with Jerry Preddy but this year a lady named Bobbie Richards did my taxes and she was just terrible, just terrible... She told me that I would have to pay back any stimulus money that I received and she deducted in from tax filing status so it looked like she did it right and I then find out that I infact did not have to pay it back at all. She lied to me and took away my money that I worked hard for all year. I called the Customer service line and they were clueless because again Bobbie made it so that in my tax refund that she did it right and she lied to me, customer services lied to me and the manager of this location, let me tell you he was a treat as well. I lost out on $1800 and the child tax credit, was only given $500 for that. This place is a disgrace, I tried to contact the IRS about this because I was told by this store manager that my taxes were already filed and there was nothing he could do. I can not believe that this happen to me, I am so livid!! And now when I go to the IRS to check the status of my refund, It is gone, they can not find it... I worked really hard for this money and because of JH's screw up I may never see it. So thank you very much, just thank you, your awesome..........
I will NOT be going back to JH ever again, I will take my business elsewhere.

April at the Algood office in Tn is fantastic! Fast and friendly. I was in and out in 30 minutes.

So this girl Brittany was rude with me and my special needs wife. She has to use a scooter and when we went into the office she wouldn’t even help assist us with anything. So we left and went to Walmart where someone there recommended us go. Let me say I was a little hesitant but when we got there Sharon was willing to anything she could do to make me and my wife comfortable. We explained to her about what Brittany had done and she was shocked. The look on her face was almost her in tears she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our returns were correct and in order and when we left she was almost crying. Sharon Beights you rock girl. People like you make the work go round. Keep smiling your a winner. The world needs more people like you.

They are professional and secure with information will get your tax needs done right.

Aalleyah is the best tax Preparer I’ve have EVER dealt with she’s very professional and knows exactly what’s she’s doing. I would consider her to be a major asset to the Jackson Hewitt company. I’ll definitely be back next year
